Women and girls have limited or no land rights. They also work in homes or farms unpaid. This situation makes them dependent and vulnerable. The LEAD project work with women and girls to raise their awareness, mobilize and organize them to claim their rights as farmers and caretakers through training, legal aids, bee keeping, livestock (poultry, goat, sheep, cattle, pig) farming, crop farming (soya, sunflower, tomatoes, rozelle, banana, moringa, onion, oranges, pawpaw) and provision of a sorted productive kits and cooperative development support.
